Following a massive appearance at Download Festival, rising post-hardcore outfit LASTELLE are refusing to slow down. The band has just dropped the beautifully devastating video for their new single ‘Bitter Seeds’—and they’ve announced a UK headline tour to match, all leading up to the release of their highly anticipated EP ‘Exist – vol ii’, out September 12 via YOU RANG? RECORDS.

LASTELLE – Bitter Seeds

The five-piece have always worn their hearts on their sleeves, but ‘Bitter Seeds’ cuts even deeper. “This song explores the idea that ‘misery grows company’,” says bassist, vocalist and brass wizard Freddie Whatmore, who explains it was born from the emotional wreckage of parasitic relationships. As its title suggests, ‘Bitter Seeds’ isn’t afraid to confront hard truths—and the accompanying music video only adds to the emotional weight.

The single has already made waves across Spotify’s New Music Friday and the Kerrang! Chart, earning spins on BBC Radio 1 Introducing Rock and Kerrang! Radio. It’s a huge moment for a band whose unique brand of emotional post-hardcore continues to evolve with every release. And there’s more on the way.

The new EP ‘Exist – vol ii’ wraps up LASTELLE’s ambitious Exist project, and if ‘Bitter Seeds’ is anything to go by, it’s going to hit hard—in every sense. The EP also features ‘Tired Eyes’, a track that guitarist Jonjo Williams describes as “about how love can make you choose to be blind to issues in a relationship.” Expect powerful songwriting, aching melodies, and the kind of raw honesty that’s become a LASTELLE signature.

To celebrate, they’re heading out on their first proper UK headline tour this September. “We’re inviting fans to Exist with us,” says Whatmore. “These songs mean the world to us, and we’re thrilled to be able to share the emotion and energy with everyone in those rooms with us.”

Known for writing unflinchingly about neurodivergence, grief, and emotional vulnerability, LASTELLE feel like the exact antidote to a world that still sometimes tells young men to bottle it all up. Their sound—heart-on-sleeve, cinematic, and searing—has earned them comparisons to Holding Absence and Underoath, but they’re carving out a space that’s entirely their own.

With a new EP, a fresh tour, and a whole lot of emotional firepower, LASTELLE aren’t just performing—they’re connecting. And they might just be your new favourite band.
