Valentine’s Day tomorrow and WSTR have decided flowers are overrated.

The band have just released their new track “Live Laugh Toaster Bath” and it feels like a proper reminder of what they do best. Big hooks, sharp guitars and that unmistakable 2010s pop punk energy that made a lot of us fall in love with this scene in the first place.

The song doesn’t hang around. It kicks in fast and builds around a chorus that sticks after one listen. There’s still that tongue in cheek edge they’ve always had, but it doesn’t feel forced. It sounds confident. It sounds like a band that know exactly who they are.

The video matches it perfectly. Quick cuts, chaotic moments and yes… an unreasonable amount of bread. We’re still wondering how much they spent on loafs.. It’s loud, slightly unhinged and very clearly WSTR without trying too hard.

More than anything, it’s just good to see them in full swing again. This doesn’t feel like filler. It feels intentional. It feels like momentum.

They’re currently out on a European run with CF98, stopping in Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Munich, Frankfurt, Cologne, Haarlem and Eindhoven. No slow build up. Straight into packed rooms and late nights.

If you’ve been missing that early 2010s pop punk spark, this will probably scratch the itch.

No roses required.
