The Maine are giving fans another look at what album ten will sound like. The band have released Quiet Part Loud, the latest single from their upcoming record Joy Next Door, which arrives April 10.
Following the first single Die To Fall, the new track leans into a more intimate space. According to frontman John O’Callaghan, Quiet Part Loud came together quickly, built around the idea of saying what you need to say while you still can. That urgency sits at the centre of the song, pairing understated moments with the kind of emotional release the band have become known for.
Joy Next Door marks a milestone moment. Nearly two decades into their career, The Maine approached the record with a stronger focus on storytelling, writing and recording the album in sequence so the journey unfolds in real time. Continuing their long running tradition, this era is tied to a colour, with Joy Next Door defined by green, reflecting the organic instrumentation and intentional imperfections left across the record.
The release lands at a time when the band’s momentum shows no signs of slowing. With over a billion global streams and one of the most dedicated fan communities in alternative music, The Maine have built their career on consistency rather than reinvention. Quiet Part Loud feels like another example of that approach, expanding their catalogue without losing the connection that’s kept fans invested.

Alongside the album rollout, the band are preparing for their first headline tour in nearly two years, their biggest run to date. They’ll also bring the new material to television with a performance of Die To Fall on The Kelly Clarkson Show in April.

With Joy Next Door on the horizon, Quiet Part Loud offers a clear preview of the tone. Reflective, direct and built around the small moments that tend to matter most.
