After 14 years without a full length release, The All-American Rejects are officially back with their new album Sandbox, out now.
The record marks the band’s first studio album since 2012’s Kids In The Street and arrives during one of the most unexpected comeback runs in recent memory. Over the past year, the band’s viral House Party Tour has seen them playing everywhere from frat houses and ships to a high school alongside the Savannah Bananas and even the International Church of Cannabis.
Produced by Tyson Ritter, Nick Wheeler and Scott Chesak, Sandbox sees the band leaning fully into who they are now rather than chasing trends or trying to recreate the past. Speaking on the album, Ritter said the record focuses on “reconciling youth” and learning how to navigate adulthood and the modern world.
Rather than aiming for radio hits, the band describe themselves as a “blue collar rock band” that never really fit into one scene but kept pushing forward anyway. The title Sandbox reflects that mindset, with the band describing it as a place where things can be built, broken and rediscovered.
Alongside the album release, the band have also shared a lyric video for new track “Clothesline”.
The All-American Rejects are also heading back overseas next month for their RECESS Tour, which includes appearances at Download Festival alongside sold out UK headline shows in Manchester and London.

Fans should probably keep an eye out too, because the band have hinted that more international House Party Tour dates could still be on the way.
