Shoreline have released new single Paradox Man, another preview of their upcoming album Is This The Low Point Or The Moment After?, which arrives March 13 via Pure Noise Records.
The track sits on the heavier side of the record, pulling influence from emo and hardcore while focusing on something deeply personal. Paradox Man explores the slow shift in mental health, the way struggles build over time rather than appearing all at once, and how difficult it can be to recognise when you’re slipping.
Vocalist Hansol Seung described the song as one of the most honest the band have written, admitting it’s difficult to hear in a room with others because of how direct it feels. That vulnerability defines the track, balancing heavy instrumentation with lyrics that don’t try to soften the reality of burnout, exhaustion and self doubt.
Paradox Man feeds directly into the concept behind the album. Is This The Low Point Or The Moment After? asks a simple but complicated question, can you recognise the moment things start to improve after hitting your lowest point. The record follows that emotional arc, moving through darker spaces before gradually opening toward something more hopeful.
Across the album, Shoreline blend emo, hardcore and alternative rock while staying rooted in their DIY background. The project reflects a band with a clearer vision of their sound, pairing big melodies with heavier riffs and songwriting that leans into difficult topics rather than circling around them.
Since emerging from the European DIY scene, Shoreline have built momentum through relentless touring and releases that tackle both personal and wider issues, from identity to social themes. The new record continues that path while pushing their sound forward.
With Paradox Man now out and headline shows across the UK and Europe planned for the autumn, Shoreline’s next chapter arrives with a record focused on honesty, turning points and figuring out what comes after the low point.
