If you’ve been keeping an eye on the new wave of emo and hardcore, this one feels like a proper moment.

Münster’s own Shoreline have just announced their new album Is This The Low Point Or The Moment After?, landing March 13 2026 via Pure Noise Records, and they’ve kicked things off with a brand new single called “Youthfully Naive.”

And honestly, it hits.

Shorelines – Youthfully Naive

The track is about seeing someone you look up to be vulnerable for the first time. That quiet shift where you realise even your heroes are human. Sonically, it’s everything you want from Shoreline right now. Big emotional choruses, heavy guitars, dynamic vocals, and those stacked backing harmonies that nod to classic emo while still sounding fresh and current.

Album Artwork

The album itself leans hard into that feeling of reflection. It’s a concept record built around the idea of hitting your lowest point and figuring out where things start to turn around. Frontman Hansol Seung shared that everyone who’s heard the record so far has picked a different “low point” moment, which is kind of beautiful in its own way. It means the songs are already doing their job, meeting people wherever they’re at.

Across the record, Shoreline push their sound forward, blending emo and hardcore with flashes of alternative rock, smarter melodies, and lyrics that go straight for the gut. It still feels rooted in DIY punk, but there’s a real sense of growth here, like a band fully stepping into their creative stride.

Tour Graphic

If you’re catching them on their current UK and EU run with Arm’s Length, Koyo and Ben Quad, you’re getting a sneak preview of what this new era sounds like live. Headline shows are also lined up for later in the year, so this chapter is only just getting started.

From basement shows and DIY rooms across Europe to releasing their most ambitious album yet, Shoreline are proving that sometimes the low point really is just the moment before everything clicks into place.
