Japan-based metalcore outfit Prompts have returned with their new single ‘Death of Me’, out now via Greyscale Records in partnership with Papercut Records.

The track marks the band’s latest release following last year’s singles ‘Deceiver’ and ‘Stranger’, the latter featuring Landon Tewers. Since forming in 2012, Prompts have steadily built a name for themselves in the heavy scene, blending influences from across metalcore, djent and beyond while sharing stages with bands like Crystal Lake, Crossfaith and Stray From The Path.

Speaking on the new single, the band explained, “One part of you swears letting go is the right thing to do, while the most honest part of you is quietly begging for the exact opposite. It is about finally facing the softer, weaker parts of yourself you were trying to hide, and admitting that all you really wanted was to stay close to the person who never left your heart.”

Prompts will take the track to the stage this April, joining Thornhill for shows in Osaka and Tokyo. ‘Death of Me’ is available now on all major streaming platforms.
