UK collective PRESIDENT have released their new single “MERCY”, alongside a lyric video, continuing their run of momentum into 2026.
The track lands following their recent US tour supporting Bad Omens and builds on the sound they’ve been shaping since launching in 2025. “MERCY” leans into strong dynamics, blending melodic moments with heavier riffs and breakdowns, keeping that mix of metal, electronic elements and cinematic atmosphere the project has become known for.
Speaking on the meaning behind the track, the band said: “Throughout history, religion has been tied to profound division and loss. This song is a reflection on that reality, and a way for me to come to terms with what it means on a human level.”
It follows on from previous single “ANGEL WINGS”, which helped establish their sound and picked up attention for its mix of synths, heavy instrumentation and modern production.
Since emerging, PRESIDENT have taken a different approach to most new acts, keeping a low profile visually while letting the music lead. That approach has clearly worked, with the project quickly building intrigue and a growing audience.
They’re now heading into a sold out UK and Ireland headline run this spring, before hitting a stacked run of festival appearances including Slam Dunk Festival, Rock am Ring and Wacken Open Air later this year.

With “MERCY” out now and more live shows lined up, PRESIDENT continue to build their world on their own terms.
