Arm’s Length are wrapping up a haunting visual trilogy with the release of their new music video for Morning Person, taken from their sophomore album There’s A Whole World Out There. This latest video closes the narrative that began with Funny Face and You Ominously End, diving deep into themes of grief, memory, and resilience.

Arm’s Length – Morning Person

Directed by Alex Scalzo-Brown, the Morning Person video is a dark, cinematic portrayal of loss and reflection. As Scalzo-Brown explains, “Allen’s words in ‘Morning Person’ read to me like grief filling up a room, with all the most beautiful parts of something once lost, crashing into you without mercy.”

Vocalist and guitarist Allen Steinberg calls Morning Person his favourite Arm’s Length track, describing it as the most important song to him personally. “It captures so many emotions I’ve had to process — compulsive overthinking, anxiety, and familial trauma,” he says. “Writing this song helped me realize that I am worth the amount of space I take up in the world.”

The video closes the trilogy on a note of both despair and hope. “While it grapples with heavy themes, it also suggests that all is not hopeless, which was my intention with the song,” Steinberg adds.

There’s A Whole World Out There showcases the band pushing their sound further, blending massive guitar hooks with gut-punching lyricism. Produced by longtime collaborator Anton DeLost, the album reflects Steinberg’s personal struggles during its creation — a period he describes as the most mentally difficult of his life.

Released through Pure Noise Records, the album has resonated widely, reaching #6 on Billboard’s Current Rock and Alternative Album Charts and #17 on the Vinyl Albums chart. You can stream the album in full on all major platforms.

Arm’s Length continue to impress with their honest storytelling and emotionally charged sound, and Morning Person is a fitting finale to the story they’ve been telling all along.
