Some bands drop a debut and leave you wondering what’s next. FeverSleep weren’t one of those bands. When their self-titled EP landed back in 2023, it immediately carved out a space that felt gritty, melodic, and unshakably heavy—somewhere in that hazy middle ground between grunge and punk. With a lineup featuring members of Young Livers, Dikembe, and Lock and Key, they’ve got the kind of pedigree that makes sense of the chaos. These are seasoned players making something that hits hard but still feels familiar, like finding an old mixtape that somehow still sounds new.
Their latest track, “Glassing,” is proof that lightning can strike twice. From the second that grimy bass tone rattles your speakers, you know you’re in for a ride. The drums drive with urgency, the guitars stack into a wall of sound, and the vocals cut right through—all raw, all sharp, and all energy. It’s not a track that eases you in, it grabs you by the collar and drags you straight into the pit.
“Glassing” isn’t just a standalone drop either—it’s part of a four-way split LP alongside Amusement, ERRTH, and Carnivorous Flower. The split is being co-released by Protagonist Music (AZ) and Creep Records (PA) on translucent grape vinyl that looks as good as it’s bound to sound. Pre-orders are live now, but if you’re headed to The Fest 23, you’ll be able to catch all four bands celebrating the release with showcases across the weekend.
And if you’re not in Gainesville for The Fest? FeverSleep are already on the road. With stops from Boston to Atlanta before landing in Florida for Pre-Fest, the band are proving “Glassing” wasn’t built for headphones alone—it’s meant to be heard with sweat on the walls and a crowd at your back.

Think Helmet meets Sonic Youth, with Dinosaur Jr-style choruses and the energy of a DC basement show. That’s FeverSleep. And if “Glassing” is anything to go by, this is just the start of their next wave.
