Neck Deep kicked off 2024 strong with their self-titled fifth album—a return to their roots that felt raw, unfiltered, and undeniably them. Written and recorded entirely on their own turf with bassist Seb Barlow at the helm of production, Neck Deep saw the band fully in control of their sound, stripping things back to what made fans fall in love with them in the first place.
But now, just months after the album’s release, some fans are already asking: Could there be more on the way?
While there’s been no official confirmation, there are a few signs that might point to fresh material coming sooner than expected. For one, the band seems creatively energized. In interviews around the release of Neck Deep, they spoke about scrapping an entire previous version of the album and starting from scratch—suggesting they’ve had a surplus of ideas and unfinished tracks left on the cutting room floor.
Add to that their packed tour schedule, including a recent run in Australia and an upcoming U.S. tour supporting The Story So Far, and it’s clear that Neck Deep is operating at full momentum. It wouldn’t be surprising if they were already experimenting with new material backstage, in soundchecks, or between cities.
Plus, in the age of surprise drops and deluxe editions, a mid-year single—or even a B-sides EP—isn’t out of the question.
Of course, this is all speculation for now. But given how personal and hands-on their last release was, the possibility of more Neck Deep music arriving in the coming months feels like more than just wishful thinking—it feels like a very real possibility.
Until then, Neck Deep is still fresh, loud, and loaded with everything we love about the band. But if history tells us anything, Neck Deep doesn’t sit still for long.
