If you’re in the mood for something catchy, emotional, and dangerously replayable, this one’s about to be on repeat.
Zurich alternative duo Comastatic have teamed up with Aussie pop punk favourites Yours Truly for their brand new track “Deja Vu,” and it’s exactly the kind of nostalgia fuelled release that sneaks up on you. Big pop hooks meet heartbreak lyrics, wrapped in a polished but punchy production that feels tailor made for late night drives and loud headphone sessions.
Produced by Stevie Knight (who’s worked with Stand Atlantic, With Confidence, and Between You & Me), “Deja Vu” wastes no time getting stuck in your head. It’s bright on the surface, but there’s real weight underneath. The band describe the song as being about running from yourself, repeating the same mistakes, and finally having to face the consequences. It captures that rush of living fast while quietly acknowledging the damage being done along the way.
Comastatic formed back in 2022, made up of vocalist Mattia Di Paolo and guitarist Jules, and they’ve been building momentum ever since. After taking a massive leap of faith and travelling over 6000 miles to Los Angeles to work with top producers, the duo officially launched in 2023. Fast forward to now, they’ve signed with Hopeless Records and are clearly stepping into a much bigger chapter.
“Deja Vu” feels like a turning point. It shows off their ability to balance vulnerability with massive choruses, while Yours Truly bring that familiar pop punk energy that lifts the whole track even higher. It’s the kind of collaboration that just makes sense.
If you’re into emotional alt rock with pop punk edge, this is one of those releases that feels made for fans of both worlds. Comastatic are finding their lane fast, and this new single proves they’re not slowing down anytime soon.
