The release continues a steady run of new material from the alt-pop artist, who’s been building momentum since her debut in 2023. Following two EPs, the bed i lie in and Apt. 1101, Chloe has been steadily expanding her audience across both the US and UK, with a consistent rollout of singles and a growing presence in the scene.
Speaking on the track, she explains, “It’s about how this girl left me for a guy who literally looks like me… on the surface, we’re the same… but the song is me calling out the difference between looking the part and actually showing up.” The video leans into that idea, capturing the moment of betrayal and the fallout that follows.
The visual was brought together with choreographer Ryan Ramirez and stunt coordinator Nate Horowitz, adding a more cinematic edge to the release while keeping the focus on the emotion behind it.
