Chamber are back and they’re not easing into it. The Nashville metalcore favourites have announced their third album this is goodbye…, arriving 27 March via Pure Noise Records, alongside the release of intense new single “Violins”.

If A Love To Kill For pushed the band into a bigger spotlight in 2023, this next record sounds like the moment they fully lean into who they are. The band describe this is goodbye… as their most instinctive work yet, with much of the album written in the studio without overthinking. It’s a process that led to songs forming naturally, driven more by feeling than perfection, something that comes through in the early taste fans are getting now.

“Violins” gives a strong first look at that direction. The track blends the band’s ferocious metal and hardcore roots with unexpected influences, pulling rhythmic ideas from The Mars Volta’s De-Loused and Frances the Mute era alongside touches that nod toward anime soundtracks. It’s chaotic in the best way, layered, heavy and unpredictable while still feeling purposeful.

Across twelve tracks, the record explores the reality of being a band in a world that feels constantly exhausting. Themes of grief, doubt and the pressure of continuing to create sit alongside moments of connection that keep things moving forward. Produced once again by longtime collaborator Randy LeBoeuf, the album leans into dissonance, strange rhythms and the kind of heaviness that has become central to Chamber’s identity.

The title might sound like an ending, but the band frame it more as a turning point. Nearly a decade into their run, this is goodbye… feels like the record they’ve been building toward, a raw reflection of the toll of touring, the noise of online culture and the drive to keep pushing anyway.

With “Violins” now out in the world and the album on the horizon, Chamber’s return already feels like one of the most intense metalcore moments of the year.
