Beauty School are back at it again, and this time they’re taking us straight down memory lane. The Yorkshire alt-rock six-piece have just dropped their brand-new single, ‘Old Rotten Teeth’, ahead of their upcoming album From Now On, which lands October 3rd via Slam Dunk Records.
According to the band, the track is a nostalgic revisit to simpler times—back when responsibilities didn’t weigh so heavy and caring less about the world was an option. It’s the kind of song that feels like flipping through old photo albums, equal parts comforting and bittersweet.
And if you’ve been following Beauty School’s journey, you’ll know this new record is set to hit even harder than their debut. While 2022’s Happiness carried a more lighthearted optimism, From Now On digs deeper, exploring themes of grief, mental health, fractured relationships, and the challenges of keeping a band—and yourself—going through it all. Yet, despite the darker edges, there’s resilience baked into every track, a sense of finding hope even when things feel impossible.
The album also comes with some huge moments, including a guest appearance from The Wonder Years’ Dan “Soupy” Campbell on the track ‘Reaper’. For a band that grew up idolising them, it’s the definition of full-circle, and just another reason this record is shaping up to be something special.

Beauty School aren’t slowing down either. They’re heading out on tour with Mouth Culture in October, so you’ll be able to hear these songs live sooner rather than later. Tickets are available now through the usual outlets!
So whether you’ve been with them since Happiness or you’re just discovering their blend of emo, pop-punk, and alt-rock, From Now On looks set to be Beauty School’s most ambitious and personal work to date. And with ‘Old Rotten Teeth’ already giving us a taste of that mix of nostalgia and honesty, it feels like this is the moment everything they’ve been building towards comes to life.
