Pure Noise Records is turning its stacked vault of rare vinyl into something far more meaningful. The beloved punk and alternative label just announced an eBay auction featuring over 100 test pressings — and it’s all for a cause that hits close to home.

“Bid in our test press auction on over 100 test presses,” the label posted. “100% of the funds will go toward the GoFundMe pages of the families affected by the San Diego plane crash.”

The crash, which took place in May 2025, devastated a local neighborhood and left several families mourning unimaginable loss. Pure Noise’s decision to step in and help reflects the tight-knit and compassionate spirit of the alternative music community — a scene that has always shown up for each other in times of need.

The test pressings up for auction include rare editions from fan favorites like The Story So Far, Knocked Loose, Seaway, and Arms Length. For collectors, this is a dream lineup. For the label, it’s a way to give back — using music not just as a form of expression, but as a vehicle for real-world impact.

Auctions end this week, so don’t hang around! Head over to Pure Noise’s official eBay page to get your bids in — we’ve even been making a few ourselves.

Whether you’re a die-hard collector or just want to support a good cause, this is one moment where vinyl can make a real difference.
