Broadside have officially dropped their new album Nowhere, At Last, out now via Thriller Records, alongside a new music video for ‘Dead Roses’.
The Richmond, Virginia band return with a 12 track record that marks a clear step forward from their previous releases. Instead of building this one around big singles, Nowhere, At Last leans into a more reflective approach, focusing on themes of identity, growth, and figuring things out as you go. It is a more inward looking record that sits in that space between searching for meaning and learning to let go of it.
Speaking on the album, vocalist Oliver Baxxter described it as embracing uncertainty rather than trying to resolve it, explaining that “life is a series of blind steps” and that finding peace in not having all the answers is part of the journey. That idea carries into ‘Dead Roses’, which arrives as the final preview of the record, tackling self doubt and overthinking in a more personal way.
The release comes as Broadside gear up for a busy run of shows. After appearances across Europe and Slam Dunk Festival this May, the band will head out for a short UK headline run, hitting Manchester, Birmingham and London at the end of the month.
After more than a decade building their name, this feels like Broadside settling into who they are, and pushing forward with it.
