South Arcade have released their latest single, DEADMEAT, giving fans another taste of what’s shaping up to be a huge year for one of the UK’s fastest rising alternative bands.
The new track arrives via BKM in partnership with Atlantic Records and follows April’s SUPERMAN, which became the band’s biggest streaming debut to date, racking up more than 1.5 million Spotify streams. It also lands just weeks before South Arcade head out on a packed summer schedule that includes Download Festival, TRNSMT, Rock For People, the Idobi Summer School Tour across North America and appearances at Vans Warped Tour.
Speaking about the track, the band explained: “We went into writing wanting to tell a sort of modern Romeo and Juliet story (but with a less depressing ending), and we left with ‘DEADMEAT.’ It has this reckless optimism about it where the two characters’ worlds shouldn’t really overlap but they’ve found each other regardless. They want to escape all of that noise, steal a car, and leave town.”
The release continues an impressive run for the four piece, who recently completed a major UK and European arena tour supporting 5 Seconds Of Summer. Their momentum has been impossible to ignore over the past year, with more than 180 million global streams, a social audience of over 2.2 million followers and a completely sold out first North American headline tour already under their belt.
South Arcade have also announced their biggest headline show to date at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on February 25, 2027. The show marks another significant milestone for the band, with only a limited number of tickets remaining.

Named by Alternative Press as one of the most exciting rising artists to watch in 2026, South Arcade are quickly becoming one of the breakout success stories in alternative music. With DEADMEAT now out in the world and a huge summer ahead, it doesn’t look like they’re slowing down anytime soon.
