16 years ago today, Straight to DVD was released, giving fans a behind the scenes look at life on the road with All Time Low during one of the biggest eras in pop punk.
Released on May 25, 2010, the live CD/DVD captured the band’s sold out show at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City during the Nothing Personal era, alongside backstage footage, tour stories and appearances from names like Cassadee Pope, Juliet Simms and Travis Clark. For a lot of fans, it became far more than just a live release. It felt like a genuine snapshot of what that era of pop punk looked like at its peak.
The release went on to earn Gold certification in the US and Silver certification in the UK, before eventually getting a follow up in 2016 with Straight To DVD II: Past, Present and Future Hearts. But now, fans are starting to ask for something bigger..
With music documentaries becoming a huge trend again across platforms like Netflix and Prime Video, the timing honestly feels perfect for a third instalment. Bands are pulling back the curtain more than ever right now, and audiences cannot seem to get enough of seeing the real side of touring, recording and everything that comes with life in a band.
That is exactly why a modern Straight To DVD III feels like such an obvious move. The original captured All Time Low during their rise. The sequel documented another huge chapter for the band. But 2026 feels like the perfect time to revisit the idea again, especially with over 20 years of history, massive tours, festival headline slots and one of the most loyal fanbases in alternative music behind them. And realistically, if a new instalment ever landed on Netflix or Prime Video, fans would absolutely be watching. Maybe they’ll name it ‘Straight To Streaming’..
