Dallas heavy hitters UnityTX are back with a brand new single, Body Roc, and honestly… this one feels built for moving bodies and breaking barriers.

Described by frontman Jay Webster (aka SHAOLIN G) as “a club banger for people who like to dance. Catch the rhythm and get lost in the ROC,” the track leans hard into UnityTX’s signature blend of metal, hip hop, and electronic edge. It’s aggressive, infectious, and somehow still ridiculously fun. One of those songs that makes you want to nod your head one second and start swinging in the pit the next.

Body Roc is the latest taste of their upcoming sophomore album Somewhere, In Between…, landing 13th March via Pure Noise Records. Clocking in at 14 tracks, the record is shaping up to be their most direct and emotionally charged release yet. It’s rooted in frustration, ambition, and that feeling of being stuck between where you are and where you know you should be.

Webster explains that the album reflects a return to UnityTX’s original spirit, letting go of industry pressure and reconnecting with what made the band special in the first place. “This album is what UnityTX used to be before we got picked up,” he says. “It’s letting go of all the tension that made us feel like we couldn’t do anything in this space and trying to push past that and reach… start to see where else this can go. We’re trying to evolve both as a band and as people.”

That mindset runs deep across the record. From punchy bangers like Sabotage and Heinous to reflective moments like Inside Out and In Between…, this feels like a proper statement piece. A rallying cry for anyone who’s ever felt overlooked, boxed in, or underestimated.

The band will also be hitting the road this spring supporting Varials, taking this new era straight to the stage.

If Body Roc is anything to go by, Somewhere, In Between… could be the album that finally pushes UnityTX exactly where they’ve been aiming all along.
