Papa Roach have unveiled the official music video for their latest single “Wake Up Calling”, giving fans a closer look at one of their most emotional tracks in years.
The release follows a big week for the band, with the single hitting No.1 at Rock Radio in the US and Germany, marking their 15th career chart-topper. Ahead of the video dropping, a select group of fans were invited to an exclusive digital premiere event with the band, where they shared stories about the track, their upcoming album, and took questions directly from fans.
“Wake Up Calling” itself dives into some heavy themes, with frontman Jacoby Shaddix opening up about the meaning behind it.
“It’s a song about standing on the edge of disaster, being pulled back from the brink, and ultimately choosing love over self destruction,” he said. “It’s one of the most raw, emotional songs we’ve written in this new era.”
Directed by Hannah Gray Hall, the video matches that intensity, bringing a personal and emotional edge to the track. Hall, who grew up listening to the band, spoke about the connection fans have had with Papa Roach across generations and how that played into the visual.
The single is the third to be released from the band’s upcoming album, following on from 2022’s Ego Trip, and continues to build momentum for what’s next.

With a UK arena tour locked in for November and a new record on the way, Papa Roach aren’t slowing down. If anything, “Wake Up Calling” feels like a band still pushing forward while staying true to what’s always made them connect.
