Hollywood Undead are back with a new single called “1×1”, and this one comes with a pretty huge nod to metal history.
Released today through Sumerian Records, the track is built around a sample of the iconic riff from Slayer’s “Raining Blood”. It’s a bold move, but one that fits perfectly with Hollywood Undead’s long running mix of rap, metal and hard rock energy.
Produced by Matt Good, who has worked with artists like Skrillex and The Haunt, “1×1” leans into heavy beats, punchy rap verses and a huge chorus that feels made for festival crowds. The slowed down version of the Slayer riff gives the track its backbone while the band’s signature style does the rest.
Speaking about the track, the band said:
“This song is about resilience. People are always going to doubt you or try to bring you down, but the point is getting back up every time and reminding them you’re still here, and that you can’t be replaced.”
The single follows a big run for the band over the past couple of years. Their 2024 track “Hollywood Forever” racked up more than 20 million streams and hit No.18 at Active Rock radio, while “SAVIOR” arrived in 2025 with a darker tone. “1×1” feels like the next step in that run and a reminder that Hollywood Undead are still very much in their victory lap era.
The band’s numbers back it up too. Across platforms they’ve pulled in more than 3.2 billion streams and currently sit around 4.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
With new music out in the world, Hollywood Undead are also heading into a packed festival season that will take them across North America and Europe throughout the summer.

If “1×1” is anything to go by, they’re not slowing down anytime soon.
