Bodysnatcher have unleashed new single “Violent Obsession,” and it’s every bit as furious as the title suggests.
The track is taken from their upcoming fourth album Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home, landing April 10 via MNRK Heavy. If this is your first taste of the record, prepare yourself. It doesn’t hold back.
Guitarist Kyle Carter describes the song as an expression of extreme hatred toward someone who’s abused or taken advantage of you. It’s about living inside that headspace of revenge and wanting them to feel the damage they caused. That intensity bleeds through every second of the track. Crushing riffs. Relentless pacing. Zero compromise.
The album as a whole leans hard into themes the band have always carried. Betrayal. Hardship. Pushing through dark moments. But this time there’s an added layer. A wider frustration with the state of the world. Drummer Chris Whited says there’s a strong sense of retaliation across the record. Fighting back against a world that feels morally lost.
That mindset runs through the full 10 track listing, including “The Maker,” “May Your Memory Rot,” and “Survive Or Die,” which features guest vocals from Scott Vogel of Terror. It’s a statement record from a band who’ve never been afraid to dig into the heaviest parts of their own experiences.

They’re taking that energy straight to the stage. A UK and EU headlining run kicks off this week, followed by Chaos and Carnage 2026 across North America alongside Thy Art Is Murder, Carnifex, 200 Stab Wounds and more. Festival stops at Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple and Louder Than Life are also locked in.
If you’ve followed Bodysnatcher from Death of Me through Bleed-Abide and beyond, you already know subtlety isn’t their thing. “Violent Obsession” makes it clear that Hell Is Here, Hell Is Home won’t be either.
April 10 is coming. Be ready.
