If you thought the official video for Hot Mulligan’s “And A Big Load” was wild, just wait until you see what happened off camera.

Hot Mulligan – And A Big Load BEHIND THE SCENES

Director Michael Herrick — who’s been carving a name for himself in the alternative scene with chaotic, cinematic gold — recently dropped a behind-the-scenes video that somehow manages to outdo the original. Titled Hot Mulligan – And A Big Load BEHIND THE SCENES, the nearly ten-minute clip is a nonstop spiral of mayhem, mischief, and way more male nudity than anyone expected.

Filmed during the production of the now-infamous video, the BTS footage features everything from a full-on petting zoo to a whip-wielding dominatrix — and the band members running around with nothing but pixelation for modesty. It’s every bit as unhinged as it sounds.

“There’s something so classic about filming your friends while they fall over and get hurt,” Herrick jokes — although this time, it wasn’t a fall. At one point during filming, Tades managed to slam his head into the inside roof of the low rider while it was hopping up and down. A perfectly timed headbutt to a moving vehicle. Naturally, it made the cut — and the crew’s reaction is priceless.

The video plays out like a pop-punk fever dream: the band jokes around shirtless (and then some), Herrick directs with pure chaos energy, and there’s even a goat or two wandering through the background. It’s clear the band fully embraced the absurdity, blending the reckless charm of early-2000s Blink with their own modern flair.

One of the funniest moments? The dominatrix on set casually asking why the band is so feral, with a deadpan delivery that somehow steals the entire scene. It’s all so ridiculous, it circles back around to being genius.

Fans are eating it up. Over on Reddit, some are calling the BTS “even better than the actual video” and praising Herrick’s approach as “peak pop-punk energy.” Others are drawing comparisons to Sum 41’s “Fat Lip” and early Jackass-era stunts — and honestly, they’re not wrong.

For a band that’s never been afraid to lean into chaos, “And A Big Load” and its behind-the-scenes counterpart might be Hot Mulligan’s most iconic visual project yet. It’s crude, it’s clever, and it’s a reminder that the scene is still full of surprises — and sometimes, livestock.

And in case you were wondering, yes — the goat was very well behaved.
