Rise Against are back—and they’re louder, sharper, and more necessary than ever. Four years after their last full-length, the Chicago punk stalwarts have announced Ricochet, their highly anticipated new album, out 15 August via Loma Vista Recordings.

Rise Against – I Want It All

Described as their most “resounding and reinvigorating” music to date, Ricochet sees the band confronting a world fuelled by outrage and overstimulation. Produced by GRAMMY®-winner Catherine Marks (Boygenius, Foals, St. Vincent) and mixed by the legendary Alan Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, The Killers), the album promises anthems that are as reflective as they are riotous.

Lead single I Want It All is already setting the tone—a blistering mission statement of self-determinism and inner strength, paired with a Sisyphean-inspired video that captures the weight and repetition of the modern age. “The algorithm wants our attention,” says frontman Tim McIlrath. “It is designed to make us laugh or cry, but mostly, it wants us to be angry… Who benefits from our anger?”

Across twelve powerful tracks, Ricochet doesn’t just rally against the system—it questions how and why that system thrives on division. Themes of unity, resilience, and introspection echo through each song, from the politically charged Nod to the gut-punch realism of Prizefighter. The band peel back layers of societal dysfunction and personal struggle, urging listeners to take accountability and action.

It’s not just an album—it’s a call to arms. And with this release, Rise Against are doubling down on their message of defiance and hope.

Since their 2021 release Nowhere Generation, Rise Against have continued to grow their global reach. Whether tackling injustice, environmental collapse, or the economic burdens crushing younger generations, their voice has never been more crucial—or more widely heard.

The band—Tim McIlrath, Joe Principe, Zach Blair and Brandon Barnes—are now taking Ricochet on the road, with a packed 2025 tour including arena dates, festival appearances at Download and Rock Am Ring, and even a return to the Vans Warped Tour.

Fans in the UK won’t have to wait long either. Alongside their headline slot at Download Festival on 13 June, Rise Against will play a special acoustic outstore event this weekend at Banquet Records—an intimate moment in what’s shaping up to be a massive year for the band.

Ricochet is available to pre-order now. For full tour dates and ticket info, head to riseagainst.com/tour.
