Genre-bending metal titans Deafheaven are back with another taste of their upcoming album, Lonely People With Power, dropping March 28 via Roadrunner Records. Their latest single, “Heathen”, is out now, following the previously released “Magnolia.” If you haven’t hit play yet, what are you waiting for?

Produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen (St. Vincent, M83) and mixed by Zach Weeks (GodCity Studio), Lonely People With Power promises to be one of Deafheaven’s most ambitious records yet. And if that wasn’t enough, the album will feature guest vocals from Jae Matthews (Boy Harsher) and Paul Banks (Interpol)—so expect something truly special.

North America, Are You Ready?

Deafheaven is hitting the road this spring for a massive North American headline tour, kicking off April 19 at The Belasco in Los Angeles. They’ll be bringing Gatecreeper and Trauma Ray along for the ride, making this one of the most stacked tours of the year. The trek includes stops in San Francisco, Vancouver, Chicago, Philadelphia, and more, before wrapping up in Mesa, AZ on May 23.

But that’s not all—Deafheaven is also set to make big festival appearances in 2025, including Sonic Temple (Columbus, OH), Welcome To Rockville (Daytona Beach, FL), Rock am Ring (Germany), Outbreak Fest (UK), and Hellfest (France).

A Legacy of Defying Expectations

Since their groundbreaking 2013 album Sunbather, Deafheaven has consistently pushed the boundaries of heavy music. From the intensity of New Bermuda to the melodic shift of Infinite Granite, they’ve kept fans guessing while earning a GRAMMY nomination and spots on Rolling Stone’s ‘100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time’ and Pitchfork’s ‘200 Best Albums of the 2010s.’

With Lonely People With Power, Deafheaven continues to evolve. If “Heathen” and “Magnolia” are anything to go by, this album is going to be something truly special.
