We’ve had our eyes on Ben Quad for a while now, and today’s a big one for the Oklahoma post-emo favourites — their brand-new single “Very Big In Sheboygan” is officially out now via Pure Noise Records, complete with a brand-new music video.
The track marks the final single ahead of their upcoming album Wisher, which lands November 14. The song shows the band stretching their sound once again, blending their emo foundations with brighter, more experimental textures — think glitchy guitars, synth touches, and the same sharp lyricism fans have come to love.
The music video offers a lighthearted glimpse into the band’s creative process, packed with playful outtakes and behind-the-scenes clips from their time recording Wisher on a farm in New Jersey. It’s a warm, candid look at a band clearly enjoying what they do — the kind of video that makes you feel like you’re part of the journey.
“Very Big In Sheboygan” follows earlier singles “It’s Just a Title” and “Painless,” both of which offered heavier emotional moments, exploring grief, loss, and uncertainty. This time around, Ben Quad lean into something more hopeful, focusing on the longing of distance and the spark of connection that comes with it.

Wisher follows Ben Quad’s 2022 debut I’m Scared That’s All There Is, an album that helped introduce their blend of self-aware humour, vulnerability, and massive energy to the wider emo community. The new record is described as a more optimistic counterpart — one that looks forward rather than back.
The band are currently touring across the US supporting KOYO, with the run wrapping up in New York City on November 23 before heading to the UK and Europe alongside Arm’s Length. If you’ve been waiting to catch them live, this might be the perfect time — and from the sound of things, Wisher is shaping up to be their biggest moment yet.
