Los Angeles duo senses are back with a shiny new single, and they’re not exactly sneaking onto the scene—despite the name. Their latest track, tiptoeing, is a sugary, summer-fuelled burst of pop-rock energy that shows exactly why they’ve been turning heads on both sides of the Atlantic.

Pulled from their just-announced EP onto something (dropping October 24 via Hopeless Records), the track is the kind of hooky anthem that lingers long after the first listen. Vocalist Madison Taylor and drummer Nick Sampson describe it as the sound of second chances, written about trying to win back someone you’ve lost. It’s delicate, but it’s also desperate in the best way—like you’re trying to quietly slip back into someone’s world while screaming inside about how much you need them there.

For senses, this moment feels like a leap forward. Since forming in 2019 after a Craigslist connection, the pair have been grinding it out with raw, heart-on-sleeve anthems that have landed them on tours with Charlotte Sands, Boys Like Girls, Leah Kate, and more. Their live shows—often powered by their viral onstage energy—have helped their fanbase snowball, and signing to Hopeless Records only poured fuel on the fire.

Now with onto something on the horizon, it feels like senses are stepping into their sharpest chapter yet. The EP promises everything from pulsing tracks like obsessed and clean cut to the emotional rush of you and i. And if tiptoeing is any indication, the duo have perfected the art of making emo-friendly, punk-curious pop rock that sounds like it belongs in the middle of your best summer.

UK fans won’t have to wait long to hear it live either—the band joins The Summer Set on tour this November, with tickets already on sale.
