Chastity is back with a bang—or more accurately, a jitter. Brandon Williams and his ever-evolving project have just released “Jittery,” a previously unreleased b-side from their raw and reflective self-titled album Chastity, and it’s the kind of track that spirals out in all the best ways. Gritty, anxious, and brutally relatable, the single arrives just ahead of the band’s upcoming Canadian shows this summer.

Chastity – Jittery

“Jittery” is an ode to spiraling out when you’re trying to be cool but can’t quite keep it together. As Williams puts it, it’s about “being in a relationship with someone cooler than you, wanting to be perceived as cool yourself, and losing your cool in the process.” We’ve all been there, right?

The track leans into the chaotic emotional territory that Chastity fans know and love—part heartbreak, part existential panic, all wrapped in a crunchy, alt-rock package that hits you right in the chest. It’s not just a leftover track—it’s a raw extension of everything Chastity the album represents: desperation, intensity, and the messy beauty of survival.

For longtime fans, “Jittery” feels like the natural continuation of Chastity’s journey. After the band’s trilogy of Death Lust (2018), Home Made Satan (2019), and Suffer Summer (2022), the self-titled fourth LP marked a turning point—a decision to drop the veil and go full nonfiction. Brandon Williams dove into his own history, no metaphors, just truth. That intensity bleeds into “Jittery,” making it a must-hear for anyone who’s ever tried to hold it together while falling apart.
