Scottish alt rock favourites Dead Pony have officially returned with their brand new EP Eat My Dust!, out now via ADA. Alongside the release, the band have also dropped explosive new single “BOOM!” complete with a brand new lyric video!
The six track EP marks the band’s first major release since their 2024 debut album Ignore This, which helped push the band to new heights with a Scottish Album Of The Year nomination and strong success on the independent charts. Since release, Eat My Dust! has already been picking up strong praise across the alternative scene, with early reactions highlighting the band’s confidence, energy and biggest sounding material to date.
Speaking about the release, Anna Shields and Blair Crichton said the band wanted this new era of Dead Pony to feel “bigger, bolder, and more unapologetically us than anything we’ve ever done before,” while also embracing their early 2000s influences in a fresh way rather than simply looking backwards.
They also described the EP as a statement piece for the band, explaining that they pushed themselves further creatively, experimented more heavily in the studio and fully committed to stepping outside their comfort zones.
Eat My Dust! features six tracks including “BOOM!”, “Freak Like Me” and the title track, with the band calling it their loudest and most fearless release to date.
Dead Pony are also set for a huge few months on the road. Their upcoming UK headline tour kicks off later this month with multiple sold out dates already confirmed, before appearances at Slam Dunk Festival next weekend and All Points East this August alongside Twenty One Pilots.
